Core Specifications (China Configuration)

The XCMG China page publishes these four rows. The bucket capacity and dimension figures below come from industry spec sheets (d1cm), which match the official values where they overlap.

ParameterValue
Rated load11,000 kg
Rated power299 kW
Operating weight35,000 ± 500 kg
Dump height3,250 mm

Note: XCMG’s Australian site lists the engine power as 277 kW @ 2,100 rpm, against 299 kW on the China site. The difference most likely reflects a different emissions configuration; the two figures have not been merged.

Additional Published Parameters (Industry Sources)

The following rows are from d1cm spec sheets rather than the XCMG China page; the four official values above match exactly.

Key Features

XCMG groups the XC9108’s selling points into eight areas.

Engine

  • Electronic-injection, turbocharged, air-to-air intercooled engine with electric start and shut-off.
  • Three-stage air filtration and multi-stage fuel filtration for dusty conditions; low fuel consumption and low emissions.
  • Hydraulically driven, electronically controlled intelligent cooling: the fan adjusts speed to each system’s cooling demand, with a manual reverse function for radiator cleaning.

Transmission

  • Electro-controlled transmission with four forward and four reverse gears, automatic shifting, KD (kick-down) button, neutral-start protection and gear-lock function.
  • Large-capacity torque converter with high transmission efficiency; the implement joystick integrates FNR direction switching and KD for one-handed operation and shorter loading cycles.

Axles & Running Gear

  • High-load wet axles with maintenance-free multi-disc wet brakes; front-axle differential lock for poor ground conditions.
  • 875/65R29 low-pressure wide-base radial tyres with low rolling resistance and reduced wear; oscillating rear axle for rough terrain.

Hydraulics

  • Load-sensing, fully variable hydraulic system that supplies pressure and flow on demand, eliminating relief losses.
  • Dual-pump confluence technology with steering priority; flow-amplified, load-sensing articulated steering.
  • Combined mechanical and hydraulic steering limiters to reduce steering shock.

Brakes

  • Full-hydraulic dual-circuit wet service brakes and caliper-disc parking brake, with independent front/rear circuits and low-pressure alarms; emergency and parking braking combined in one system.

Cab

  • New XCMG FOPS & ROPS pressurised cab, spacious with excellent visibility and sealing.
  • Silicone-oil dampers mount the cab to the frame to cut vibration; air-cushion composite suspension seat; intelligent high-capacity heating and air conditioning.

Frame & Structures

  • Structural optimisation based on finite-element analysis, load-spectrum-based design and fatigue testing for heavy-duty loading; stress concentrations eliminated for rough-ground durability.

Serviceability & Working Equipment

  • Electric full-tilt rear hood giving easy access to air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil fill and coolers; transmission filter and fill port routed out for convenient service.
  • Centralised fuse box, remote centralized drains and pressure-test points.
  • Optimised Z-bar reverse six-linkage (single rocker, short tie-rod, horizontal lift cylinders) with automatic bucket levelling at any height, removing the need to re-level between passes.

Applications

Large open-pit mines, large coal yards, rail freight, large sand-and-gravel yards, batching plants, steel plants, power plants, coking plants, coal chemical plants, infrastructure and municipal work, and stone quarries.
