Overview

The XCMG XD135T is a 13.5-ton full-hydraulic tandem vibratory roller for asphalt surface compaction. According to XCMG’s expert review, it is aimed at high-end domestic customers and special working conditions: it compacts asphalt layers of different materials and thicknesses, and also handles base and sub-base materials, making it suitable for roads, parking lots and airports as well as highway-maintenance surface compaction.

Version Differences

The China and Stage Ⅲ export configurations differ, which is consistent with different engine and regulatory setups rather than a data conflict:

Key Features

XCMG groups the XD135T’s selling points into three areas:

  • High-efficiency compaction: 67 Hz high-frequency vibration shortens operation time, three-range compaction speed covers different working conditions, and the dual-frequency dual-amplitude system lets the front and rear drums vibrate independently.
  • Smooth start/stop zones: a dedicated software module delivers gentle starts to avoid asphalt pile-up and smooth stops to avoid surface bumps across start/stop areas and compaction joints.
  • All-round visibility: the front and rear beams are lowered as far as possible, the body is narrowed so the drum edges are visible from the seat, and a rotating/sliding seat further improves the view.
  • Serviceability (export brochure): the integral hood tilts forward for full engine-bay access, and the air, oil, diesel and hydraulic filters sit in easy-to-reach positions.
  • Drum durability: the cylindrical four-support structure uses XCMG’s patented lubrication and oil-scraping device with long-life vibration bearings.
